Ahmet has been a very honest and helpful guıde. All transfers were on tıme. We have had great adventure and a wonderful walk through hıstory. Hi,
We went with Ramostur for a guided cycle tour round Capadoccia, not along the coast of Turkey. We stayed at the Ramostur hotel (an extraordinary traditional Capaddocian edifice) where we enjoyed great hospitality and traditional Turkish food. We set out each morning with Ahmet (the owner of Ramostur) on different guided cycling expeditions, our cycles on the top of the car to get us to an appropriate starting point. Ahmet, who grew up in Capadoccia, knows all the byways and took us down offroad tracks and to places other tourists don't see. We had a great time.
Is Ahmet running cycle tours round the coast? This could be something new. We stayed down in Kas on the Mediterranean coast for a fortnight before we made our way overland by local bus to Capadoccia. We didn't do any cycling round the coast and it didn't strike us as being very cyclable, but Ahmet may know other routes. Whatever else it may be, it will probably be hilly! We cycled into Turkey from the north-east, where we had been doing a guided cycle ride through Bulgaria. For what it's worth, cycling Capaddocia was probably the highlight of our last long European cycling trip. It is an extraordinary place and very cycle-friendly. If you want to be independent, Ahmet will arm you with maps, bikes and GPS and take your luggage from point to point.
